How do I get rid of a red rash, my dog in her womb?

Koda had just delivered a litter of 4 puppies that are about 4 weeks. Because of the weather (we live on a tropical island in the Pacific), brought the mother and puppies at our house and keep the laundry room with pages of newspapers scattered on the ground. Koda developed a red rash on his stomach and his chest about a week ago. The eruption began as little red dots specifications, but now the color of the skin where the rash is darker look and it seems almost to look like eczema. Parts of his skin cracks like a symptom of eczema, but not too bad. It seems it is ground. I apply a topical cream, but I fear that the cream will hurt the puppies, when the nurse from her mother. I also tell them that the puppies no eruptions. I think that it erupted just might be the result of the ink in the newspapers or following the change of Pedigree food Beneful. Someone Is there a remedy safe for the mother and puppies?

More likely is that this eruption could be caused by feeding the mother of the puppies nurse that can irritate stomach and breasts RUB constant suction. I'm not sure what kind of cream topiccal can use it, I know that Bag Balm is a wonderful product, but I'm not aware of the safety of the animals if ingested. Perhaps the implementation of the night and put it in a certain type of clothing to prevent babies who breastfeed for night? Anyway, good luck!
